Echeveria 'Chantilly' Hybrid: Echeveria 'Chantilly' is an attractive Echeveria hybrid, loved for its unique foliage and aesthetic form. As with many Echeveria hybrids, this variety is distinguished by its fleshy and often colorful leaves, which form a compact, symmetrical rosette. The leaves of Echeveria 'Chantilly' may have shades of green, pink, red or purple, depending on growing conditions, including light exposure and temperatures.
Origin: Echeverias are native to semi-desert regions of Mexico and Central America. Hybrids like Echeveria 'Chantilly' are created by horticulturists for their beauty, resilience and diversity of colors and shapes.
Growth: Echeveria 'Chantilly' is a moderate grower and can reach a respectable size for a succulent plant, with rosettes extending to several centimeters in diameter. Over time, it can produce suckers and form a larger group of rosettes.
Flowers: Like other Echeverias, the hybrid 'Chantilly' can produce upright flower spikes bearing bell-shaped or tubular flowers, often pink, red or orange in color. Flowering usually occurs in spring or summer.
Light: Prefers bright but indirect light. Direct exposure to sunlight for a few hours a day is beneficial, but too much light can cause leaf discoloration or burns.
Watering: Requires moderate watering. Allow the medium to dry completely between waterings to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in winter.
Substrate: Well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix of potting soil, coarse sand and perlite or gravel.
Temperature: Tolerates a range of temperatures but must be protected from freezing. Prefers warm, dry conditions.
